50 Book Challenge, books number 5 and 6: Twentieth Century Pleasures by Robert Hass and A Faithful Existence by Forrest Gander. Both of these were books by poets writing criticisms of other poets, their own personal writing strategies, etc. Hass' book seemed pretty swayed by biases, but was ultimately more engaging and coherent. Gander's book dealt a lot with translation, a subject of importance for me, which I really liked, but the preponderence of this book is a bit esoteric and beyond my patience threshold.
