So somewhere in the neighbourhood of two posts ago I lamented how my Veronica Mars enthusiasm is a likely sign of its demise. Latest reports from other outlets have it much more likely that it will return, though fast-forwarded into the future with a possibility of a drastically reduced/changed cast. Le sigh. I would still definitely watch it (hey, over the past year it's usurped Scrubs as my favorite show) but the idea of this Silence of the Veronica Mars revamp scares me a little.
Moving on. . .
Ultrasound numero uno was today. Rael was present and unhappy. Once the whole thing was completed, the technician let it be known that she isn't sure of ANY of her readings because Rael's crying had her too distracted. WTF? If his crying was effecting her ability to do her job properly she should have asked me to remove him--going forward and providing what is ultimately an inconclusive set of results was just entirely unprofessional and has my ire up. What a bleeping waste of time. We might know the actual conception date now; we might have a healthy fetus, we might know the gender now--in other words, nothing has changed.

Oh, I'm so with you on the Mars. It surpassed Gilmore Girls and Scrubs in terms of witty repartee. Though not so sure how I'm gonna be liking the whole fast forward to Jr. FBI agent plot. Though as long as Mac is a computer expert for the FBI then I'm fine. Then again when Alias did this I hated it.
oh and p.s. The Amazing Race finale was totally anti-climatic so you didn't miss much. Once the Latin Gays were gone I lost total interest. I only watched for the moment when Charla snapped and pushed Mirna off a tall building or in front of a moving vehicle.
If Charla had only done that. It would have been priceless.
There's no way VM can even be remotely the same w/o Mac or papa Mars. I could survive losing Logan or Wallace, even Weevil, but not those two.
Ultrasound technician sounds like a useless bint.
And I have nothing else to say except that I'm tickled you're using a lyric from a Tragically Hip song today... 'And I don't wanna swim!'
How much do you want to bet someone somewhere will complain about me using that lyric--that I'm being insensitive to New Orleans or something?
Hopefully you're wrong about that, but you probably aren't.
And I admit, after Katrina tore through New Orleans, 'New Orleans is Sinking' was going through my mind for days and days. Its a really great song :)
