Loss

Yesterday Lash learned that one of his friends had died in a car accident this week. Her family was on a trip to Mexico, driving through this awful fog we've had lately. Another car was parked on the highway and they didn't see it in time due to the fog (and lack of lights from the car). When they tried to avoid it, they rolled. The entire family was killed.

To his credit, Lash is dealing with the news fairly ok. He had a couple spontaneous crying jags yesterday. We talked about what had happened and how his friend is being missed.

It's such a hard situation.
