I want a refund

In 1988 DC Comics gave its fans the opportunity to vote on the fate of one of its comic book characters: the second Robin the Boy Wonder, Jason Todd. As I had given up on DC by then because of feeling personally slighted by the deaths of all my favorite characters in Crisis, I was happy to vote for Jason's death, repeatedly over many phone lines, even though I actually kinda liked him. Anyhoo, it was a 900 number and it cost money to vote him dead. This week an issue of Batman came out revealing that Jason Todd has returned from the dead. Since my vote no longer counts. And I PAID for my vote. I want a refund.
