I just realized something I think is really cool irony. The badguy,
everything evil, is portrayed in black all of the time, while the
goodguys wear white. I just think it's really interesting considering
that priests, ministers, etc. wear black uniforms and suits all the
time. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Yeah. No doubt the pope is laughing at them all behind their backs because he's the only one that gets the joke. That said, I'm pretty sure he still wears black underwear.
